AUDITIONS!!!!
Actors of all ages and skill level welcome to audition for the SOUND OF MUSIC!!!!!
The Plateau Players and Appalachian Society of the Arts are pleased to announce auditions for The Sound of Music. Auditions will be at the Scott Christian Care Center on Friday August 2 from 6:00-9:00 pm and Saturday August 3 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Please call Glenda Gray at 770-880-8593 to reserve a time or if you have questions.
Adults interested in auditioning should prepare a song from the show, either stage or movie version. Tracks will be provided. Children auditioning are asked to prepare either “Do Re Mi” or “So Long Farewell.” Young adults auditioning for Liesl or Rolfe should prepare “Sixteen Going on Seventeen.” Memorization is not required.
Performances will be October 18,19, 20 & 25, 26, 27. Rehearsals are tentatively scheduled from 6:30 – 9:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (except when the Highland Harmony has practice.) Closer to the performances there will be a few Saturday rehearsals. Not everyone is needed at every rehearsal.

Highland Harmony Community Chorus
The HHCC will resume rehearsals for this coming 2024-2025 season in August.
Directed by Jessica Rash, the choral group is open to adults and teens (14 and up) who want to sing together in a large group. All are welcome! We will sing a variety of music including spirituals, folk, classical, traditional, sacred, and contemporary music.
Annual dues for membership are $40/year for music and supplies.
(Scholarships available based on need.)

If anyone would like to donate to the scholarship or general chorus fund, it would be greatly appreciated. We are getting Highland Harmony T-shirts this year for everyone and I hope to upgrade the binders if possible.
